Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Becky is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned her graduate degree in Counseling from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky and St. Cloud State University. Becky has provided therapy in a variety of settings including in-home therapy, a community mental health center, multiple public school settings as well as in private practice. She has many years of experience as a practicing Marriage and Family Therapist with a focus on a variety of issues including anxiety, marriage and couples therapy, adolescent and children's therapy, depression, blended family issues and school and behavioral problems including ADHD.

Becky has extensive experience providing therapy for a variety of mental health concerns with a particular focus on school-based settings and concerns. She provides therapy to individuals from age 6 through seniors. She particularly enjoys working with the adolescent and young adult populations.

George H. Herzog, Jr., BCD, DCSW, ACSW
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
George is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota with practice certifications from The National Association of Social Workers and The American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work.  He holds a Masters of Social Work Degree from the Ohio State University and has practiced previously in Ohio and North Dakota.  He has worked with adults, families and children in the mental health field since 1979 in day treatment, residential treatment, and outpatient settings.  He has also worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, supervised county mental and chemical health and child protection services, and practices family and divorce mediation and trains mediators.  He is an expert in cognitive-emotive, cognitive-behavioral, brief therapy, psychodynamic, hynotherapy, relationship, motivation, martial and systems treatment methods.  His current practice focuses on the treatment of emotional, behavior, marital, family, child and adolescent, and serious and persistent mental health problems and their related chemical and physical/medical health issues.  He is happily married, is a cancer survivor, and loves his dog.

Lynette Sickler, MA LPCC, LADC

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Lynette is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Lynette holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin Superior. In addition, she has a graduate certificate in Marriage and Family therapy from St. Cloud State University. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Police Science. Lynette has over 20 years of experience working with individuals and couples with both mental health and addiction issues. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient chemical dependency treatment programs, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization and other outpatient mental health clinics. Lynette ‘s strengths are working with people struggling with substance abuse and other addictive issues, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma, grief and loss, communication issues and self-esteem.  

Lynette also has experience in Critical Incident Stress Management. She is currently a member of the Central Minnesota Critical Incident Stress Management team for first responders. 

Lynette focuses on creating a safe, warm and non-judgmental environment that allows for healing. She draws from several theoretical frameworks and works to tailor the therapy experience to meet individual needs.  She believes that her role is to educate, challenge, encourage and support individuals as they move through their own journey. 

Jason P. McCarty, Psy.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. McCarty is a Licensed Psychologist. He earned his doctorate at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology and has worked in varied settings including hospitals, community metal health, college counseling, and other non-profit social service agencies. He works with age groups from adolescence through adulthood, and will see clients individually or in family counseling. 

It is Dr. McCarty's goal to collaborate with clients to find improvements in mental health and well-being and he can work with most disorders or difficulties that lead people to seek counseling. His treatment approach integrates aspects from a range of therapeutic models such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, brief counseling, client-centered, dialectical-behavior therapy, mind-body medicine, and psychodynamic theory.

Sara L. Shosted, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Sara Shosted is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who graduated from Adler Graduate School. She worked previously for a nonprofit company providing intensive in-home and outpatient therapy before starting in private practice.

Sara has focused her practice on working with adolescents and young adults through individual, family and couples counseling. Sara has a unique ability to build rapport and an important connection with clients at different stages of readiness for change. Sara has learned that it is important to support and encourage clients to move forward in their life path by using their mind, body and spiritual strengths. Sara's current treatment approaches include cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy and insight oriented therapy.


                           Ana Spence-Baker, Med, EdS, NCC, LPCC

Ana is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, National Certified Counselor, National Certified Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, and a certified mediation instructor. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida.  She has experience working in college settings, in mental health crisis stabilization, and in intensive outpatient day treatment with children, adolescents and their families.

Ana works with children, adolescents, adults, and families.  She is trained in cognitive-behavioral, narrative, brief, and solution-focused and family systems therapies; parenting training; mindfulness; and meditation.  Ana works collaboratively with her clients to find the best treatment approach for their needs, situations, and personalities. She provides a supportive and honest environment, and challenges individuals to uncover their strengths and capacity to deal with past, current and future life challenges.
